Please, Please,   Carefully consider what breeding your female may involve,   Are you prepared to lose your female or a litter of pups, ?   Most
people  think it may be fun to have a litter of puppies or want to see what their female would produce;  but there is a lot to consider, you will be
putting your pet thru a lot, it takes a toll on her body, and you must be prepared to spend a lot of time with pups;       I hand deliver each puppy,
cut the cord, make sure they breathe,  start to nurse,  etc.         Plus if you think they can be born in a room with a 70 degree temperature , you
will lose them all,        You have to have a very warm area, pups cannot control their body temperature,  when they are born they are wet and
get chilled very quickly,  if they try to crawl under mom for warmth, they can smother.   They must be put under a heat lamp,  they must nurse
very often,  ; starting out every 20 minutes, to every two hours over the first day, are you prepared to lose sleep and work ?        And what if
something goes wrong, in a perfect world  the female will  lay down have the pups every 15 minutes, bond with them, and take care of them,
what if she has a difficult labor,  or needs a caesarean,  do you want your dog cut open,? it can cost her , her life  and cost you thousands of
dollars;
Not everything goes smooth,  I am not a vet but  have been thru every possible situation with my females when they deliver.  And you can't
always get in touch with the vet, everything happens on weekends, at night or on holidays;   One of my friends  had a vet on notice that her
female would be going into labor with a large litter,   it was new years, so when female  started to have trouble  vet was at a party and
wouldn't come, female delivered 19 pups, all dead but two !!!
Unless you have a great vet, or someone that can help, be prepared for a lot of heartache and expense,if something should  not go "perfect"
     Just want people to be aware
If you have a quality female and want to help promote the breed,  then raising a litter of pups can be  a great experience.     Just think  about it
carefully.
